Ken Gordon
Venture Partner
Ken is a part-time Venture Partner with Chrysalix focused on early-stage investments in Alberta. He is an entrepreneur and consultant living in Edmonton where he regularly advises and mentors technology start-ups. He’s also currently the Executive Director of Alberta Deal Generator, a network of angel investors operating in Edmonton and Calgary, and the CEO of Loa Corporation, a software start-up.
Prior to his current work, Ken was the founding President Myrias Research Corporation, a pioneering venture-backed parallel supercomputer hardware and software developer in Edmonton. After Myrias, he turned around Precise Systems Corporation, a document management software company, which he led through ten years of bootstrapped growth. During this time, he also worked as CEO of Jade Simulations International, a Calgary-based parallel software company and later, was founding President of Invidi Technologies, a targeted advertising software company.
Before entering the business world, Ken was an Economist, specializing in the History of Economic Thought, post-Keynesian economic theory, and some arcane areas of the application of systems of differential equations to economic fluctuations. His BA and MA are from the University of Saskatchewan, and his partially-completed PhD work was done at the New School for Social Research.
