James Wells

Analyst

James joined Chrysalix in 2010 and has a strong background in commercialization, product marketing, and technology licensing. Previously, James worked in renewable energy business development with start-ups like Exro Technologies where he closed the company’s first important strategic partner for their unique multi-stage, direct drive generators designed for wind and other renewable power applications. He also worked with a leading Canadian technical institute’s Commercialization Office where he launched the school’s first spin-out company, served as a company advisor to many life science and energy clients, and executed multiple technology licenses in the renewable energy market.

Additionally, James co-founded a Web-based community lending service and served as the interim CFO where he facilitated seed round financing, laid the company’s financial foundation, and developed the company’s business model. 

James has a degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of British Columbia.
